We look forward to welcoming you to the Black Swan Guest House. In making a booking you are entering into an agreement with us – please read our terms and conditions.
Booking: Your booking will be secured by either a deposit or when we hold credit/debit card details to guarantee this deposit
Payment: Full payment of your bill must be made at or before your time of departure. We accept all major debit and credit cards, but there is a surcharge of 3% on American Express. Cheques should be made payable to Black Swan Guest House and must be accompanied by a cheque guarantee card to cover the full amount.
Children: We are family friendly and accept children of all ages.
Pets: We are pet friendly – please advise us of your intention to bring pets at the time of booking. We ask owners to bring along suitable bedding etc for their pets.
Check In: Your room will be available from 5pm on the day of arrival, unless an earlier time has been prearranged. If you require an arrival time after 9.30pm this must be arranged in advance.
Departure: We will require you to vacate your room on the day of departure by 10am on Monday to Friday and by 11am on Saturday and Sundays.
Cancellations: We will refund your deposit if you cancel or shorten your stay 48hours prior to the date of your arrival. After that time you will be liable for a charge of 2/3rds of the cost of your stay. There are times when this notification period may be increased to 7 days; in this case you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
Non Availability: In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver your requested accommodation we will endeavour to find a suitable alternative for you and refund any deposit paid. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Smoking: We are a non smoking establishment. If we find that this has taken place in the room you will be liable for the additional cleaning costs and the cost at full rate of any nights when the room is rendered unusable by your actions.
Damage: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible for any damage or breakages you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages but may seek recompense for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant. There will be an additional administration cost of £30 if you did not report the damage.
Conduct: We reserve the right to ask you to leave if your conduct or behaviour is unacceptable or disturbs other guests and you will be liable for the full cost of your stay.Food and Drink Only food and drink provided by ourselves may be consumed on the premises without our prior agreement.
Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any of your party or vehicles or possessions, unless proven to have been caused by a negligent act by ourselves, employees or agents acting in the course of employment.
Privacy: Any information collected in the course of a booking will be stored on our computer(s). This will not be shared with any third parties but we may, with your agreement, contact you about any special offers or promotions in which we think you may be interested.
