This years Lincoln Christmas Market starts on Thursday 6th December and will finish on Sunday 9th December.

This was one of the first Christmas Markets in England and was modelled on the well known German originals.

There have been many changes since that first market which boasted 11 stalls, this year there will be over 300!

The event always provides a superb festive occasion, and the backdrop of the splendid Cathedral and historic Castle and grounds which provide the location for a good part of the Market can only enhance the experience.

There are always thousands of visitors and early booking for accommodation is recommended – whether your choice is for band b, guest house or hotel.

At the Black Swan Guest House we are well located for access to the “park and ride” car park – which is at the Lincoln Showground. This is at “the other end” of the A1500, the road on which we are to be found. We offer comfortable well appointed rooms which have all the accesories you would expect to find, along with a warm and friendly welcome.

Grapevine 27th to 31st August

This year sees the 29th annual Grapevine celebration at the Lincolnshire Showground.
This is a Christian gathering and has a variety of speakers and worship leaders who are all there to make your visit a memorable one.
The event is always attended by many thousands of guests, and though there is tented accommodation on site we at the Black Swan Guest House are very happy to welcome singles, couples and families to our well appointed and situated b and b guest house.

Lincolnshire Show 23rd – 24th June

The Lincolnshire Show takes place on the showground which is located just to the north of the city of Lincoln on the A15 and the junction of the A1500. The Black Swan Guest House provides comfortable b and b accommodation and is located at “the other end” of the A1500 at Marton approximately 8 miles away, and is well located for easy access.

The show is still very much a traditional agricultural event but like most others has diversified and become a “county show” with plenty of varied and diverse activities for all – from farmer to family.

The former have the livestock, machinery and allied services, whilst the family have everything from clothing to household equipment and furniture, along with a variety of places to feed and water.
